Ritternet Spam and Virus Filtering Terms and Conditions
1. By using Ritternet Spam and Virus Filtering services (referred to as Service), the customer (end-user) is agreeing to allow Ritternet to process incoming E-mail messages against known SPAM filter rules that are implemented automatically on inbound e-mail accounts that are enrolled in the Service in order to determine if the messages are unsolicited (SPAM).
2. The processing of e-mail messages is by computer-automated systems. Portions of the Service are provided to Ritternet by third-party vendor(s), over which Ritternet exercises no control. End user e-mail messages ARE NOT being read by a human. This processing is limited to only a determination whether this e-mail should be considered SPAM or not. This processing does not archive, store, or otherwise collect the e-mail except as outlined in this program.
3. Ritternet reserves the right to change the method of electronic filtering without prior notice to increase the effectiveness of the program. Ritternet also reserves the right to disable the service temporarily without notice to prevent detrimental service degradation to Ritternet's mail servers.
4. The end-user understands that no e-mail filtering service is 100% effective, including the Service provided by Ritternet. The end-user understands that he may continue to receive unsolicited messages or viruses, despite the filtering being enabled. The end-user also understands that the filtering service may sideline messages which are not SPAM. The end-user will have access to these messages through the web interface for a period of 14 days.
5. Ritternet will provide a web-based interface for the end-user to review messages marked as SPAM. Ritternet will make SPAM messages available through this web interface for a period of 14 days. After the 14 day period, Ritternet reserves the right to delete the messages from its servers.
6. Ritternet respects the privacy of every user on its system. The Ritternet privacy & security policy applies to this Service.
7. Communications by Ritternet and its corporate affiliates are not considered SPAM. All communications from Ritternet to its customers are exempt from SPAM filtering.
8. Ritternet may make changes and updates to these policies and notice of such will be effective when posted at: http://www.ritternet.com/filteringterms.html
9. END-USER UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE AND ITS LICENSORS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," "WITH ALL FAULTS," AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE AND ITS LICENSORS DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICES PROVIDED HEREUNDER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE (EVEN IF ADVISED OF SUCH PURPOSE) AND AGAINST ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE
